Hi there! Thanks for visiting my site!

I’m Soojin—a multidisciplinary designer, doer, and thinker based in Seoul. After graduating from Washington University in St.Louis with a degree in Communication Design and Marketing, I worked at Designsake Studio in San Francisco for a while before returning to the motherland.

I have a passion for telling stories and sharing vision through design—whether it be a brand, a book, or a website. Seeing people interact with my design is what excites me the most and gets me going past my limit. On the side, I draw so I consider myself an aspiring illustrator.

Find me sippin on an iced latte while drawing strangers at a cafe or cracking open a cold one while watching a movie with the two cutest schnauzers (@jinny_reo if you’re interested).

I am happy to connect with any creatives and open to collaborate, so please get in touch!

Based in San Francisco, Mandolin Flowers is a boutique flower business that specializes in event florals. They design wildly romantic florals for intentional human, striving to bring intention to every design for every event. Always inspired by the untamed beauty of nature, they design an organic, yet intentional arrangements. They make diligent choice of flowers because they believe in the language that flowers embody through their traditional meanings, colors, shapes, and personal sensations.

Reflecting on Mandolin’s essences, I designed a brand identity that is both elegant and natural. A timeless, sophisticated serif is used as the logotype to add an edge to the brand. It is, however, accompanied by loosely drawn flowers and a rough paint texture for a natural look. The flower illustrations are used for “the Language of Flower” cards to use during consultations to show shapes, movements and energies along with Mandolin’s interpretations of each flower.
